Allamanda

Published by dothy under Mellow Yellow Monday, Memes

This flower is a Yellow Bell, also known as an Allamanda, which is a genus of tropical shrubs.  Thus this flower is very common in every places here in our country especially in the provinces.

The photos of the Yellow Bells were taken during our last vacation to Cebu.  The petals and leaves were damp because it just rained that time.  Hope you like the pictures which are my entry for Today’s FlowersMacro Flowers Saturday and Mellow Yellow Monday.

Eat All You Can Sushi at Sakae Sushi

Published by dothy under Food

We always pass by Sakae Sushi whenever we go to SM Mall of Asia.  We stop there not to look at the food but to look at the Japanese restaurant’s company logo we call “The Lucky Frog”. My daughter likes to look at the frog so we always stop to look at it.

The food sure looks yummy with the conveyor belts containing sushis are around the place.  We’ve always wanted to eat there but had the chance only on my birthday because we are sure it would be expensive.  The price for the plates varies depending on their colors. Purple sushi plates cost 39pesos, yellow plates cost 59pesos, green costs 79pesos and 99pesos for the red plates.  They also offer Sushi-All-You-Can for 349pesos from 2pm to 6pm.

My husband tried the Sushi-All-You-Can while I tried their Gyuniku Ramen and Beef Yakiniku with Rice since I’m not fond of raw tunas and salmons and I thought those were the only food being served on the conveyor belt.  My orders are good for two persons so we had to bring home the left overs. It was really yummy and cheaper than we thought. The next time we eat there again, I will also try their Sushi-All-You-Can since I saw that they also serve lots of Tempuras, Gyozas, Corn Sushi, Ebi Fried Cheese Crepe and Soft Shell Crab Cheese Maki.

My wallet is back!

Published by dothy under Personal

An hour after I posted about my lost wallet, it’s back!  No, my wallet doesn’t turn out to be inside my bag or any place inside the house.  It was returned!

Around 11pm, while I was in front of the computer, someone knocked at the door.  I definitely know it has something to do with my wallet so I hurried to the door, looked at the peep hole first to see who it is and when I saw it was the guard in the building, I opened it.

The guard asked if there was someone living there with my name.  I asked him yes, its me.  He then got something out from his pocket and yay! It’s my wallet!

He said my wallet was thrown at him at the guard’s table while he’s on duty.  I asked him if it he saw who returned it and he said no.  I then gave him some money to thank him for returning my wallet.

I am so thankful that contents are all there, the cards and my IDs.  At least, I won’t have to apply for new IDs but the cards have been on hold so I have to apply again.  There was no money since I put it in my pocket before I lost my wallet.

Good day that ended in a bad one

Published by dothy under Personal

My day started out smoothly, with my daughter waking up in a good mood and me able to do some posting before I went to the office.  At the office I was able to do lots of tasks and was able to finish early. Thus, I left an hour before to get the result of the mandatory drug test to be able to submit it when I go to office on Thursday.

I took a cab going to Glorietta to pick up the result and decided to buy pretzels from Auntie Anne’s to bring home to Iris and for me to have some change.  I took a cab from Glorietta going back home it was traffic so I was worried since I want to go home knowing Iris hasn’t slept in the afternoon and she’s waiting for me.

When the cab arrived at our place, I opened my wallet by then I remembered that I put the change in my pant’s pocket. I was in a hurry that after giving the driver a hundred bucks, I immediately ran up the stairs going to the elevator. When the elevator stopped at the floor where we live in, I saw Iris at the door waiting for me so I immediately hugged her and gave her the pretzel.  That’s the time I realized my wallet is GONE!

I know that I really lost it inside the cab and that there would be now way it would be back.  My IDs, credit card, ATMs, and healthcare card was there.  I immediately called the hotline for my credit card and ATMs to have those cancelled but the IDs, just thinking of the all the hassles I will go through to renew them makes my head hurts.  I’m still thankful that I left my husband’s ID, ATM and some of my other credit card at home and that my wallet doesn’t have any money in it!

Oh well, it’s a lesson learned that I should always be vigilant in my surroundings and to always check if I left something at the cab.  Another bad experience with riding a cab, huh?  It’s my fault this time though.

I’m just hoping that I the one who would get my wallet would be kind enough to give it back, even just the IDs.
